January 2015

Happy New Year and welcome back!

We hope that you have had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed your break.

This term our theme is going to be The Jungle.  We will be learning about the different animals that live in the jungle, looking at the patterns that the animals wear, discussing the noises that some of them make and much more.  We will continue with our small group activities and putting photographs up for everyone to see what we have been doing.  We will also be celebrating St Dwynwens Day, Saints days, Chinese New Year, World book day etc.

We now have a website and email address.  We would like to cut our paper trail and think that it would be a good idea to email out our newsletters, invoices and any other paper work.  If you have an email address and are happy for us to do this then please send your email address to info@pembssteppingstones.co.uk

A few reminders

* Please name all of your children’s belongings.  As well as helping us to know what belongs to each child it also helps us to minimise the loss of items.

* We are still using our mud kitchen in the garden so please remember to bring your child to nursery in clothes that you do not mind getting muddy.  Also we do our best to make sure that all children are wearing wellies but sometimes if you have not provided any then we may not have a pair that fits, therefore please make sure that your child is wearing footwear that you do not mind getting dirty.

* Please continue to encourage your child to take part in self-registration.

* We still follow the Healthy and Sustainable Pre-Schools scheme so please continue to send your child healthy snacks in their lunch boxes.

Shortly we will be sending out new contracts for all of the children please can you ensure that all of the phone numbers that you provide are correct and that if you do have a change of address or phone number that you let us know.

We are sad to say that Miss Nia is leaving us this Friday (16th Jan) and we would like to wish Nia good luck with her future.

On a happier note we look forward to a busy term.
